Timeout when switching to channel although programm information is availible

Asked by flrtx

I didn't change anything to my setup but suddenly one certain channel doesn't work any more. I get a timeout when I try to switch to it. The strange thing is that I get the programm information which isn't the case for the other channels that don't work. How come?

Your broadcaster probably changed service IDs on you. Try rescanning.

I already tried rescanning and it got worse. I don't find the channel at all. That seems weird to me but I don't have any clue how dvb-t works.

Maybe the channel is not available anymore.

I'm reframing my question: Why do I still get the programm information if the channel isn't availible any more?

Do other DVB applications do the same thing?

I tried scanning in Kaffeine and that particular channel can't be found either. Because of that, I can't tell you if Kaffeine gets the programm information.

I'm think we wont be able to solve that problem. I'll hope that this channel will get back any time soon.

The channel magically works again. That's great but I still don't know why.

Anyway, my dvb-t broadcaster seems to do strange things with his channels...
