Suspend to RAM and Me-tv

i am using karmic beta 64bits

I watch TV and after few minutes karmic suspend to PC (suspend to ram)
after 30 minutes karmic stop screen (hibernate)

No issue with jaunty

Looks to me like autosuspend after 30m of inactivity. Which would mean that one needs to simulate activity like one needs to inhibit the screensaver to stop this.

Thanks Philipp, this is without doubt the reason. Me TV does have a screensaver disabler in it which I assume prevents suspend, at least it does here at home. I don't understand why FrenchNux bothered to mention the hibernate part. FrenchNux, are you able to clear this up?

Funny, this question expired on the same day that I got this bug report, https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/vlc/+bug/428884. If it was on any other day I might not have linked the two.
