dvb-apps ? How?

Hi Phil...

This is perfectly normal on first time use! as what Me TV is asking for
is, do you want to use a supplied channel data from dvb-apps or use a
channel.conf file. As this is a fresh install you will most likely not
have the latter! so on the top box that says 'none' click on this and it
will present you with a selection of pre-set country files, just select
the one that best suits your area, and Me TV will commence a scan of
those channels. Once this is done you will then get another section
asking to confirm the scaned channels... edit if necessary, then you are
good to go!

I think I pressed the problem solved button in error.

Ok, now I see, this is not a Me TV question. This is a question about how you install software under Ubuntu. There are many ways but this is not the best place to ask this question.

Here's one way, open up a terminal and type `sudo apt-get install dvb-apps` and follow the prompts.

Another way is to use an application called 'synaptic', look for it in under the Administration menu.
