Kubuntu Jaunty -mute audio does'nt work

ver 0.9.4 Mute audio does'nt. OSD says 'muted'
is this because i'm using KDE or still a Xine prob ?

Also - i guess this is because i'm using KDE at startup, me-tv displays # ' error - unable to poke sreensaver '
 the app works very well though. nice.

The mute thing is a xine issue, have you tried a different xine video driver?

The "unable to poke screensaver" message is because you don't have the screensaver command available `/apps/me-tv/screensaver_poke_command`. You can change that to a KDE one by setting "/apps/me-tv/screensaver_poke_command".

 i have tried all available options in xine video drivers, no difference.
 and the "unable to poke screensaver" bit,
 i cant find any trace of file or folder 'screensaver_poke_command' on the filesystem

The 'screensaver_poke_command' is not on the filesystem, it is in GConf.

Can you also try this fix please? I used to have this issue but now it's gone. Not sure what I did to fix it.

 I ran Gconf-editor and just emptied the key 'screensaver_poke_command'
 no such dialogues on startup now.

 searched filesystem and gconf for 'xine.config' and file appears to be nowhere on the system, which is why i guess xine does'nt know which channel to actually mute... but no problem :)
