Features in recent Me-Tv versions

Asked by Tunkkaamo

Hello

I have Me-tv 5.3 running on ubuntu 8.10
I updated to 9.04 for a while and it shippped with Me-Tv 8.something.

I had to get back to 8.10 and also to Me-tv 5.3 for following reasons:

-My pay channnels were not regognized also not all free channels
-On record schedule the repeated recording (like every workday 07.00 am for 1 hour) was not present anymore
-I could not select the channel sort method to alphabetical order anymore

Are these features coming back in future releases and what might be the reason why the channel scan that works nicely on 5.3/ubuntu 8.10 is not working on 8.X / ubuntu 9.04?

For the moment happily back in the 5.3 :)

Best Regards

Tunkkaamo

"Are these features coming back in future releases"

My crystal ball is on the fritz. Who knows what the future holds?

"what might be the reason why the channel scan that works nicely on 5.3/ubuntu 8.10 is not working on 8.X / ubuntu 9.04"

The scanner was rewritten to produce reliable UTF-8 channel names, unlike the original "scan" code. Obviously, I'm not as good as the guys that worked on the scan DVB tool.

Thanks.

Me-tv is 5.3 still the only TV program I have had working out of the box even with paid channels and the card reader.

So I am more than happy with that, but of course looking forward for future releases!
