Last channel used info location ?

Asked by foggybrain

Could you please tell me where me-tv stores the last channel used (session) information in the linux system.

I need to delete this file as me-tv is starting up with a channel that is no longer transmitting and causes me-tv / xine to lock up.

I am using build 0.7.13 on Arch Linux.

Thanks for a great program

Regards

In gconf under /apps/me-tv/last_channel. Hmmm, maybe I should fix that.

Thanks for the quick answer.

I found a system restart was also needed after file was deleted, possibly a re-login would achieve the same.

Cheers

I know that I shouldn't ask this but I have to know, what "file" did you delete?

/home/-my username-/.gconf/apps/me-tv/%gconf.xml

and then I restarted system

the problem occurs because BBC3 switches over to CBBC in the morning, up till now I've had to remember not to shut down me-tv on BBC3. Also have other shared channels on UK freeview DVB-T.

But that would've deleted all your GConf/GNOME settings. If you use something to delete the setting properly (gconf-editor) then you don't need to restart.

Ok, I think I get you, you have incorporated the me-tv session details within gnome config. I obviously had to restart as things were still held in cache. It only seemed to reset me-tv settings though.

My system is mainly xfce4 with nautilus so I have only skimmed gnome internals.
