Metacity composite shadow problem

I use Me TV 7.12 with Ubuntu 8.10 (64bit). I use metacity with composite support so windows drops a shadow. When a windows go on the Me TV shadow is not rendered correctly, it appears as a solid black bar.

I try with a video played in totem and it work correctly.

no, xine shows the same problem. Should i report it to xine or to metacity?

Or compiz, I think that it's your culprit.

Also, you might like to try a different video output. Try xshm or xv.
