How to choose which ALSA device is used?

Sorry to keep on bothering you...

At the moment one can select which audio device is used (ALSA, pulseaudio, OSS, etc) but not which ALSA device is used. Any chance that it would be possible to select the appropriate ALSA playback device in the future?

I myself have two different ALSA devices, one is my normal sound card and the other is a USB speaker/microphone I use for VOIP. For some reason Me-TV selects the USB device for playback (when all other applications seem to default to the proper sound card).

I know that somebody else asked a similar question earlier, but that was almost a year ago...

If you're using the xine engine then just set up the xine player to do what you want and `cp ~/.xine/config ~/.me-tv/xine.config`. Alternatively, `ln -s` it.
