No video output and cannot play back recorded material

Asked by Thomas Novin

Hello

I can start Me TV without any problem. It scans and finds channels and loads EPG. I cannot see any video though. It looks like there is supposed to be a video window above the EPG?

If I record something the recording is saved but when I opened it from Nautilus, I got a warning that it could not find a suitable codec. After searching, it installed gstreamer0.10-fluendo-mpegdemux but still no go, "An error occurred - Could not determine type of stream.".

I have also tried playing with VLC and mplayer.

I have Ubuntu Hardy 8.04.1 and me-tv 0.5.17-1.

Hi,

Yes, the space above the EPG is the video window. Please make a short recording available to me, 5-10 MB.

Ok, that file doesn't work for me either. I'll have a quick look at the data in it.

I ran me-tv from command line and then the problem became pretty obvious. All channels but one I had in my channel list was scrambled!

This is probably something that Me TV should be aware of (the information is there).

Yes, you should fix it if you can.
