Video flicker

Just installed Me TV onto my new computer. Picture is fine in full screen mode, but upon launch......where you pick the program that you want to view, or look at the EPG then there is quite a dramatic flicker across the top of the screen. Happens regularly, about once every second.
Any advice?

There is a timer that fires every second to send an expose the video window forcing it to redraw. just in case there are artefacts remaining from a resize operation. This is the first time that I've heard of this happening. What video card/driver are you using?

You have 2 options, disable compiz or change the video driver in the preferences dialog to "xshm".
