How do I configure device, Asus TV Fm not detected

Asked by Jacbu

I recently moved from PCLinux2007 to Ubuntu 8.04 (AMD64). TV hardware (AsusTV Fm) worked perfectly within PCLOS (zero configuration needed, worked even on live CD, PCLOS comes with TV viewer built-in) but does not seem to run in Ubuntu 8.04.
Me Tv returns "no tuner device" when started.
I'm new to Ubuntu, do I have a hardware driver missing or just configuration of Me TV?

Hi,

Me TV is a DVB TV application only. Analog cards will not work, sorry.

Thanks,

Michael

Ok. Thanks Michael.
I've tried installing all the different TV apps in the Ubuntu repository, nothing seems to work.
Back to PCLOS then.

I once used tvtime for my analog card, it seemed to do the job. But if you're looking for Ubuntu support (non Me TV) then this is not the best place. Try #ubuntu on FreeNode. I really don't know much.
