HDTV

Hi,
Terrific Programme.
I tune to DVB in Perth, Australia, from Bickley and Roleystone transmitters.
SBS, ABC, 7, 9, 10 (in SD) all work well.
But because in the channels.conf the APID is 0, (the HD channels use AC3 PID for audio), the Me-TV has no audio for HDTV channels.
It looks like Me-TV is based on xine, and I encounter no audio on HDTV in xine as well.
Do you have plans for HDTV audio, or does this depend upon xine?
Or am I missing something?

Hi Tim,

I'm in Canberra. Glad that you like Me TV. AC3 audio is something that we've been struggling with for a while. See https://bugs.launchpad.net/me-tv/+bug/160447. By default, kaffeine uses libxine and it can do AC3 audio. I've been speaking with the developer of kaffeine and he put a lot of work into kaffeine to get it working. I might have to do the same.

In short, it's planned.

Now that the buffers have been added in 0.5.22 the channels work lot better.
