How to use Me-TV without live stream?

Asked by SirPecanGum on 2013-03-21

Is there a way to use Me-TV without it displaying a live stream? Me-TV records scheduled TV shows fine on the Raspberry PI but the Pi isn't powerful enough to handle the live stream. Thank you.

Yes. Since version 1.4 me-tv is split in two part. You can run the server
part on the PI and the client anywhere else. You can also use the http
interface to control the server.

This is yet an other use of the PI that I didn't think of. I'll try it one
day ;)

Cheers,
Fred
