how to order channels to assigned number

Hi, maybe my question is a stupid think, but:

I read the posts about how to order the channels managing the channels.conf (no nice but pratical solution), but I would like (if possible) go forward ....

In my country (italy) but I suppose that is the same in the other, all TV put the channels ordered by a number assigned by local telecomunications bureau ... in this manner on all TV of all person the "tot tv" channel is on nr.38 and the five channel is on nr 5 ...

Is possible insert this function in the next version ?

Hi Emilio,

There is no developer left to continue the development of me-tv. I do my
best to fix things when there is a problem but I'm not a developer.

When using the scan tool (wscan, dvbv5scan etc.) if you use -v you see a lot (yes loads) of information. One of these fields is LCN. this is the Channel number that say your tv would assign to the channel. There must be some way to do this, perhaps a hint as to which piece of code where I could start looking to make an adjustment? I would happily pass back any code that would help others. I seem to spend too long reordering channels in what otherwise is the best digital tv application by far.
