View and record multiple channels at once

Asked by jlanzac

I have a Nova HD tv card with dual tuner and I don't know how can I use it with Me-TV.

The issue is that I want to see two channels at the same time (Picture-In-Picture) but I don't know how. I'm trying to open two instances of Me-TV in Ubuntu 11.04 but I'm not able to do so even from the command line (Unity only allow one instace open).

The other problem, is how can I select the tuner or adapter I'm using at any time in Me-TV.

And the last one, I have two tuners, so I can it is supposed to record more than one channel at a time. How can I set which adapter to use to record one or another program?

For watching or recording two channels at the same time I use terminal (command line), for example I run this command to start me-tv with second TV tuner:
me-tv --devices=/dev/dvb/adapter1/frontend0

For more info run:
me-tv --help
in terminal (command line)

Also I sometime use VLC and me-tv at the same time - VLC uses first tuner and me-tv - second :)

Can you help with this problem?
