Router is being spanked to death by me-tv 2

Asked by Tim S

Me-tv seems to be serving via eth0 now, causing my router to be absolutely spanked.

Other laptops in the house are now finding it impossible to make a connection to the router.

Any suggestions or is it back to a previous version of me-tv ?

Thanks tim

Yes, it might be best to downgrade in this case. My router here does not transfer broadcast packets to the wireless network. Is your computer that is running Me TV connected directly to the wireless network?

I'll look into a fix for that within 24 hours.

I've just committed a version that uses the loopback address by default but can be overridden with the --broadcast-address option. Do you need that tarballed or can you fish it out of bzr?

if you could point me to either with a link I'll put it in my arch PKGBUILD script, thanks

Just built me-tv2-bzr-88-1 and eth0 is now not reporting the flow throw, so I guess this has fixed the problem for me.

Thanks for you super quick help

Excellent, thanks. Sorry, I'll be releasing 2.0.1 very soon because you can't import anything other than DVB-T channels ... oops.
