permission denied

Hello,
I have been using Me-TV for a while without any problems.
However recently, I has become impossible to record a show, as I get the following message: "permission denied".
In short, I can watch but not record.
Please, could someone point me in the right direction to overcome this blockage.

Sorry but I found out the solution.
I was saving the file in the "system files" as oppose to my "home" directory.
I only had to make the appropriate changes in "preferences".
How stupid can one get?
