It is suppose to work since January 2010:

But I tried it and it does not work here either. How did you make it work with xine ? (I tried without success)

Sorry for my English, but I didn't say that me-tv work with vdpau. I said that I have libxine working with gxine for example, but not with me-tv.

Check this: https://bugs.launchpad.net/xine-lib/+bug/572673

I understand that but I wanted to try xine before to be sure that vdpau is working on my system. But it doesn't. Running the command "xine -V vdpau video.mpeg" work but xine does not take action on the -V (I don't see any improvement on the CPU). Even if I specify anything (e.g. -V abc), I receive no error and xine start the playback. I think xine try vdpau as specified in the command line and if it does not work, it take the default one and start the video.

Can you help with this problem?
