Version 1.2 on Ubuntu Karmic?

just wanted to know when version 1.2 will be available in repositories for Ubuntu Karmic.
So far it does not seem to me the new version is there, while the updates up to version 1.1.X were all working.
Am I missing something?

Unfortunately you are missing something :).

I write Me TV and use Launchpad to host the Me TV project but I am in no way affiliated with Ubuntu or Debian. Both Ubuntu and Debian have a process for getting software added and updated in their repositories that is not ideal for ensuring the latest software and is outside of my control.

The normal process for most packages is to get the software updated/added in the Debian repositories and that gets automatically synced with Ubuntu up until a certain point in time. Only Debian Developers and can upload into Debian and there are only certain people that can upload into Ubuntu.

Fortunately, Launchpad provides an easy service to get the latest version straight from the developers using PPAs. Details for Me TV's PPA are at https://launchpad.net/~me-tv-development/+archive/ppa. Me TV 1.2 will be available there soon.
