When I try to tune to DVB-T I get this error messages:

Please confirm that your Linux DVB setup is working correctly. Have you tried another Linux DVB application? Is this a new thing? What have you tried?

Import: You are trying to import a DVB-T channels.conf but Me TV is selecting your DVB-S device, probably because your DVB-T device is busy.

Scan: I don't think scanning works for DVB-S and I know very little about it.

I had the same problem. It was a hassle finding the right firmware for the Hauppauge HVR-4000 as there's several to choose between. I think I ended up with firmware v1.26.90.0. From linuxtv.org:

TIA, what happens if you let Me-tv do the scanning? It succeded when I tried the w_scan -X option, so I can't see what should be wrong with your scan.

If I let Me-tv do the scanning:
as I said above:

if I scan with using adapter0/frontend1 (DVB-T)
it scans in 1 second (and find nothing)

if I scan with using adapter0/frontend0 (DVB-S)
it scans long (and find nothing too because no DVB-S is connected)
