how do I modify my preferences on Max

How do I change my preferences on Max. I added various file formats when I really need only one MP3 , Max converts ial all these formats simultaneously

You can do this two ways:

1) Open the Formats window and check/uncheck the desired formats
2) Open the Formats preference pane and check/uncheck the desired formats
