Which version of Aria engine is in 10.1.13? 1.5? How trustful it could be for primary engine instead of MyISAM compared to MySQL 5.5

Asked by alexandre hadjinlian guerra

Hi

I have been migrating a MySQL 5.5 instance to Maria DB 10.1.13 and given that InnoDB batch load time is worse (5 min for 300Mb of data to a table with 7 indexes) for me than Aria engine (about 1:30 min), i would like to ask if any of you guys have used Aria as your main engine, specially on Windows. Im chosing Aria as the rollback time for innodb on my tests were pretty slow and im doing big batches ..
The server im dealing currently have 8 virtual CPUs and i wasnt able to see great improvement for paralellism with InnoDB. Im planning to do a test with hash partitioning on both InnoDB and Aria hoping that the load gets spreaded

Thanks
Alexandre

Aria will work on all platforms that we support, including Microsoft Windows.

Also, it is recommended to ask questions at The MariaDB Knowledgebase: https://mariadb.com/kb/en/ - I hope you make a followup there.

Can you help with this problem?
