Is a mariadb-mytop or mariadb-utils package planned?

Asked by Jean Weisbuch

As of now, if we want the MariaDB mytop while using the Debian/Ubuntu repository, we dont have any other solutions than downloading the sources then manually copy mytop ( and eventually replace the one from the Debian package on /usr/bin).

Is there any plan to release a mariadb-mytop or some sort of mariadb-utils package which would replace the system mytop package and install the MariaDB one?

There wasn't, but now there is.

Recently we got a bug report https://mariadb.atlassian.net/browse/MDEV-286 and I fixed it, making mytop to appear in binary tarballs and rpms. This change didn't cover deb packages, but now I'll make sure that it will.

Still, next time, please, when you see a bug - submit a bug report on http://mariadb.org/jira/
Thank you!
