From Line of emails from mailing lists

Asked by Webmaster

Can you tell me why an email sent from our mailing list includes -bounce as part of the from line? And, how to remove it? Several of the ISPs providing service to our members have recently tag our mailing list as SPAM. As such these members are no longer receiving emails from this mailing list.

The From: header of messages from Mailman does not include "-bounces".

The Sender: header does contain the LISTNAME-bounces address as does the envelope sender. This is for automated bounce processing. It is MS Outlook or some other mail client that displays Sender: information as though it were part of From:. See the FAQ at http://wiki.list.org/x/RoA9 for more on this.

I doubt that this per se has anything to do with ISPs blocking your server. See the FAQ at http://wiki.list.org/x/4oA9 and the archives of <email address hidden> at http://www.mail-archive.com/mailman-users%40python.org/ for more on this.
