mouse not remapping with screen rotation ubuntu 16.04

Asked by Valde_91

Hi,

I've recently update my system from ubuntugnome 14.04 to ubuntugnome 16.04. The update wasn't smooth at all and I had many problems to solve afterwards and one that is still bothering me is the fact that since the update when I rotate the screen on my lenovo x230t, the mouse doesn't remap accordingly and it stays as it was in the normal screen orientation. So the axis are all messed up in right, left and inverted mode.
Not sure that the problem is directly caused by Magick-Rotation, because it happens also if I rotate the screen in the terminal with xrandr. I'm thinking the work around this issue with a script in order to force xinput to follow, but I've little experience in scripting and I've not many ideas on how to write this. Indeed, I start the tablet mode in inverted mode, but then I also use often the right orientation (I've mapped the screen rotation hotkey to switch between modes during tablet mode), so I need a script with is able to handle multiple rotations and remap xinput accordingly.

So I've decided to ask here if someone has the same problem and has found a workaround. I've already searched ubuntuforum, ask ubuntu and launchpad without finding anything useful until now

Many thanks,
Claudio
