62-magick.rules not found

I want to use the program to auto rotate my Lenovo Ideapad 700 tablet.

I use Linux Mint 18.1 (Cinnamon) and have manually compiled and installed the program according to the instructions in installer.txt

After a reboot and running magick-rotation I receive the following error:
Please install 62-magick.rules in /etc/udev/rules.d.
See INSTALLER.txt in the unpacked magick-rotation folder.

However this file is there:
$ ls /etc/udev/rules.d -la

What am I doing wrong?
