Connection Error when large amount of data is imported

I succesfully imported products and categories from my local testing environment.
Now i tried to import from one of my live websites and import of categories went fine but when i try to import products (about 2500 products) I get this error every time:
Connection Error
Unable to reach to OpenERP server !
You should check your connection to the network and the OpenERP server.
Anyone can tell my why this occurs?
But everything else runs fine.
Can this be cause because i use the one click windows install in Vista?
My system:
Intel Duo Core 2CPU 6300@ 1,86 GHZ 2,00GB RAM running on VISTA home Premium 32 bit Service Pack 2
OpenERP - GTK Client - v5.0.6
OpenERP - Server- v5.0.6 running on localhost (127.0.0.1)
