Using MadAnalysis with gnuplot

Good afternoon,

I'm afraid I'm too stupid to use the MadAnalysis's gnuplot interface. I would much appreciate any help with this :)

When using MadAnalysis with the gnuplot option in the ma_card.dat, a file plots.top is produced. It looks pretty similar to the topdrawer output, but all but the data lines are commented out. I can plot these data points with gnuplot, however I have to divide the plots.top by hand and add all the labels manually which is quite a bit of work.

Is there a way to do this automatically, i.e. to create a gnuplot script that plots the same histograms that topdrawer would including all the labels?

Dear Johann,

Unfortunately the gnuplot output of MadAnalysis is not very well developed and there is indeed quite a bit of manual labor in getting all the plots in an input that can actually be properly read by gnuplot.
Currently, work is put into writing a new, more advanced version of MadAnalysis which should become public in a couple of months. Therefore, no more features/improvements are being made to the current version.
