can i use madDM to study Dark matter in colliders ?

For collider phenomenology, I would say that you do not need to install maddm in top of MG5aMC, MG5aMC alone should have what you need for the collider case.

Now even for collider case, I typically still use maddm, just to be sure that the benchmark that I use within MG5aMC are compatible with relic density computation and (in)direct detection.
