Error in installing dragon_data for indirect detection

Asked by Debajit Bose

Hi,

I am learning the MadDM package for calculating the relic density, direct detection and indirect detection limits on dark matter. However, while adding the indirect detection, maddm require dragon_data_from_galprop. While installing the same, I am facing an error as the zip file can't be downloaded from http://madgraph.phys.ucl.ac.be/Downloads/maddm/dragon_input_from_galprop.zip. I am using MadGraph2.9.14. I have also tried to install maddm from MadGraph3.4.2. But in this case, MadDM is not working as it requires python2.

Regards,
Debajit

Hi,

indeed, the file does not exist.
@Olivier, do you know where we can find dragon_data? Otherwise, can you upload a version of the package to the server, at the link mentioned in the question?

In any case, you need dragon data only if you want to compute indirect detection with flux_earth option activated. If your aim is to just explore the functionalities of MadDM, you can ignore the installation of that package. MadDM has many functionalities to do phenomenology of dark matter models which do not depend on dragon.

Cheers.

Thank you for the clarification. It will be really helpful if the dragon_data can be installed somehow so that the indirect detections can be analysed with MadDM.

Hi

I also am not able to download dragon_data_xxxx.zip. I am trying to use madDM for indirect detection calculations. Will it be uploaded to the link or is it discontinued?

Rahul

Aaah, the file was lost during the latest update of that machine.
I have migrate it from the old machine.

Thanks,

Olivier
