Histogram plots not generated

Dear MadAnalysis5 Team,

I have the similar problem which has already been discussed in question #446256. The first answer states that either
matplotlib or root has to be installed. I initially chose gnuplot and madanalysis also recognized it. Since the question dates back to 2017 I am wondering whether this statement may be outdated or does ist still hold?
