Accessing arbitrary delphes variables

Asked by Andreas

Hi,

I'm trying to implement a selection based on fat jets with some level of substructure treatment in expert mode. In Delphes, there seems to be some support for e.g. softdrop, and I would like to access it in MA5, but cannot tell how. Opening the Delphes output file, I can e.g. see branches like:

FatJet.SoftDroppedP4

Is there any way to access this from the MA5 fatjets collection? If not, I'd be happy to implement something, but it's also not immediately obvious to me how/where to do this.

Thanks

Andreas

Hi Andreas

Substructure capabilities are under development atm you can find the latest updates from this link : https://code.launchpad.net/~ma5dev/madanalysis5/substructure <https://code.launchpad.net/~ma5dev/madanalysis5/substructure>

Please note that although we will support delphes in the future, all development plans are concentrated on SFS module. Hence the link that I included above does not have any different support on delphes. A way around is the analysis folder that you will generate with the substructure version of ma5 have full access to fastjet libraries hence you can just include fjcontrib.

We are planning to have a full interface to substructure libraries with SFS in the future, but this will take time.

Cheers
