Jet grooming in MA5 with fastjet?

Asked by Billy Ford

Hi all,

Just wondering if jet grooming and re clustering is possible in MA5 with fastjet? If so how would be best to approach this (python interface, expert mode etc)?

My best guess so far would be to edit the file 'tools/SampleAnalyzer/Interfaces/fasjet/ClusterAlgoFastJet.cpp'?

Best,
Billy

Hi Billy,

The code is not compliant with jet substructure (yet). This is something on our to-do list for a long time, but we didn't find the time yet to dig into it up to now.

The not-so-easy way out is definitely the expert mode, with probably some modifications of the SampleAnalyzer internal dataformat and/or the clustering c++ files (like the one you quoted).

Cheers,

Benjamin

Thanks Benjamin, I'll do some digging and see what I can come up with. I don't suppose you recall queries on here trying to achieve something similar I could refer to?

Thanks again,
Billy

Unfortunately, I don't remember anyone having (publicly at least) done anything.

Cheers,

Benjamin
