# 0 b-tagged jet in reco mode with delphesMA5

Dear MA5 team,

sorry for asking a lot. I would like to study some analysis relying on the multiplicity of b-tagged jet so I started with a simple process, i.e. p p > t t~. Madgraph and pythia8 are used to produce a hepmc file, which I feed to Madanalysis. When the N(b) is plotted using delphes, i.e. set main.fastsim.

P.S. I am using MA5_v1.7

Hi Pattara,

Have you checked the b-tagging properties in the card you have used? If not, please share a small sample (10-20 events) and tell me exactly what you did so that I could try to reproduce it here.

sorry I don't understand what is written in delphesMA5tune_

I did the following to do the plot:

1. Madgraph + pythia8 for events generatetion, parton showering and hadronization, i.e.

generate p p > t t~ and shower = Pythia8

2. Madanalysis5

./bin/ma5 -R

ma5>set main.fastsim.

ma5>set main.fastsim.

ma5>import toppair.hepmc.gz

ma5>plot N(b)

ma5>submit

Hi,

It is better to use delphes with the cms-ma5tune card.

thank you for the reply. Sorry for a naive question, where can I find the cms-ma5tune card. Could you please give me the exact name, I don't see it in neither delples/cards nor delplesMA5tune/

Then you have no choice to use delphesMA5tune. Could you please try in replacing the standard delphes card by the one of the CMS-SUS-13-011 analysis to see whether the issue remains?
