Plot invariant mass of daughter particles

Asked by ibb

Hi!

Is there a way to ask madanalysis to plot the invariant mass specifically of the daughter particles of a decaying particle?
Similar to the fact that you can specify PTordering, I would like to plot the invariant mass of the two particles coming from the same mother. I can imagine that this is possible since in the .lhe file you have the information about which particle decay from which.

Best regards

Hi,

Typing something like:
   plot M( (e+[1] < z) (e-[1]<z) )
would work. However, this does not check the mother is the same. For this, I am afraid you have no other option than using the expert mode.

Regards,

Benjamin
