MA5 Installation

Since my MA5 wasn't being able to generate the pdf files I tried reinstalling overwriting the existing directory. But while installing I got this error message:

When I tried to see that very log file, 'compilation_root.log', there was no such file there. The following is the contents of the directory that file should have been:

I can't find the reason. Please help.

Hi,

Can you try instead to re-install madanalysis from the MadGraph CLI? If you want to install it as a standalone package, please don't do it by overwriting an existing installation from MadGraph. I guess there is some conflict with some environment variables here.

Please let me know.

Default installation of Madanalys5 failed.
MG5aMC will now attempt to reinstall it with the options '--no_MA5_further_install --no_root_in_MA5'.
This will however limit MA5 applicability for hadron-level analysis.
If you would like to prevent MG5aMC to re-attempt MA5 installation, start MG5aMC with './bin/mg5_aMC --debug'.
Now installing madanalysis5. Be patient...

I have installed mg5_amc verzion 2.6.1 and I cannot reproduce your bug. As I suggested, let's first try to install madanalysis5 as a standalone package, externally to MG5_aMC. Please let me know whether this works.
