Compilation error

Asked by ale89p

Hi,

while building madanalysis from the MadGraph5 shell, I get the following error:

MA5: - Compiling the source files ...
MA5: - Linking the library ...
MA5-ERROR: impossible to link the project. For more details, see the log file:
MA5-ERROR: /home/alessandro/Packages/MG5_aMC_v2_6_2/HEPTools/madanalysis5/madanalysis5/tools/SampleAnalyzer/Interfaces/linking_root.log
MA5-ERROR: The library building aborted.

In fact, no linking_root.log file has been generated.
Can you help me with this? Thank you.

Cheers,
Alessandro

Hi Alessandro,

With such a small amount of information, I am afraid I can't help you…

Can you at least tell me what lies in the logfile? Maybe could you also start MA5 directly (from /home/alessandro/Packages/MG5_aMC_v2_6_2/HEPTools/madanalysis5/madanalysis5) in the debug mode (./bin/ma5 -D) and dump me the screen output.

Regards,

Benjamin

Hi Benjamin,

sorry for the little information, I was just beginning to use the packages and was a little bit confused.
I solved installing MadAnalysis manually.

Cheers,

Alessandro
