Algorithm used for Plotting

Asked by SUBHASISH BEHERA

Dear Oliver,

I had problem with plotting MG5_v2_4_3 generated HEP file via MadAnalysis5 due to some reason. Where I have used fastjet to convert the HEP file to LHE file.

I just wanted to know from you that :
1>"Whether the above method is right ?"
2>"How MG5 generates plots for HEP file and which algorithm it uses and where to find the algorithm file in MG5 ?"
3>"The problem arises because I was getting some leptons (both e- and mu+ ) in my final state but not getting them after using fastjet but I could find them in the MG5 plot for HEP file"

Thanks,

Subhasish

Hi Subhasish,

As I told you, I am attending a conference this week and I am thus slow in reaction. I have seen your multiple e-mails from this morning. It is not necessary to submit the same questions several times to different people. You must understand that we do our best to answer the questions quickly, but you should at least give us the time to investigate the problems. Thanks for your understanding.

Regards,

Benjamin

Hi Subhasish,

Could you please provide two event files with 100 events each:
 - the hard-scattering LHE file;
 - the hadronized HEP file.
I will perform tests on my side.

Regards,

Benjamin

Hi Subhasish,

Concerning the fastjet interface with initial electrons, this may be the reason why once afstjet is run, no isolated lepton is left. We will dig further into that in January.

For the root file, using the CMS card, I find both leptons and b-jets. So that the problem must be on the way you encode the card.

Benjamin
