problem with ExRootLHEFconverter

I have a problem with some LHE files generated via MadAnalysis after doing a reco through fastjet.
when I try to convert them to .root with the ExRootLHEFconverter it gives me the following error:

** ERROR: invalid event format--------------------------------------] (0.00%)
** [################################################################] (100.00%)
** Exiting...

any idea why?

I am not aware of the details of the ExRootLHEFConverter program, and I therefore cannot help you. You should contact the development team of this program for getting any help.
