how to define missing transverse momentum in plot card

Asked by Deepanjali Goswami

When I use madanalysis in madgraph i could get the distribution on missing transverse energy but not missing transverse momentum. Whats the way to define it in the plot card? And can i repeat same particle in class in plot card?

Hi,

This is a question related to madanalysis4 (that I do not know) and not madanalysis5. You can either ask Rikkert (in cc), or use madanalysis 5. In the latter case, I will be happy to help you.

Cheers,

Benjamin

Dear Deepanjali,

In fact, the mET is already computed as the missing transverse momentum. It's a misnomer in the description of this observable.

Best regards,
Rikkert
