query wrt regarding root file analysis

Asked by Juhi Dutta

Hi,

I have a naive query.I am using madanalysis to analyse a root file I generated on cluster. It is so that the cluster version of ROOT installed in 5.34 28 and that on my desktop is 5.34 23. Actually I installed root on cluster recently using root-cern website and since both versions are 5.34 I did not really bother abt it. Consequently on analysis I get an warning : WARNING: the input file has been produced with ROOT version 53428 whereas the loaded ROOT libs are related to the version 53423.
Is this of much concern? I expect the ROOT libraries not to be different for the latter patch release version. Is this a valid thought?

Your insight in this matter will be very helpful.

Thanks & Regards,

Juhi

Hi Juhi,

You can safely ignore the warning. In the case something weird occurs (who knows?), do not hesitate to come back to me.

Benjamin
