no timer function for time lapse

I am using luciole to make time lapse movies of growing plants, stars, cloud movements and other things like that, Is there a timer function or timer plug in available?

No there is no programmable timer to take snapshot at a given interval.
It can be a suggestion for future releases ( start a blueprint ?)
