Merge message log with the front end

Asked by eZFlow

I think it would be more user friendly to have the log integrated nicely with the front end. So let's say you press the "show log" button which could be next to the "download directory" button, making the log slide out at the bottom. Much better then pressing Help --> Show message log each time. The option should also be remembered once active. Thnx!

Hi eZFlow,

thanks for your suggestion! I guess in most cases the message log will be used if something goes wrong. I strongly agree that if something goes wrong, it should be made visible to the user so that one doesn't need to open the log first in order to check what happened. This is definitely something that needs to change. However, I don't think that it's necessary to make the message log accessing from the toolbar. We intend to keep it as simple as possible.

If the option would be remembered so that it automatically opens the message log the next time LottaNZB is started, such a toolbar button would not even be necessary. I think would be worth considering.

Questions are fine for suggestions by the way. Alternatively, you can also create blueprints, because that's what suggestions are eventually turned into.

Regards,
Severin

We're always eager to hear new ideas from LottaNZB users! Don't hesitate to create as many blueprints as you'd like!

Cheers!
