I need a real Dj program for Linux?

I have been a DJ for 17 years and am forced to use windows because there is no Linux DJ programs. I am a computer science Major in college and am willing to help develop this software. But I am not good at starting a major project like this one. The two programs I am using now are Numark Cue and Mixmeister Fusion. I would like to make a program much like these but for a Linux os.
