Pause all downloads

It would be great if I could pause/resume ALL downloads with a single button in the toolbar.

I'm on a slow connection and when I'm downloading from DC I can't browse the web. Currently I have to quit LinuxDC++ and when I'm finished surfing the web, I have to start it again (which I often forget) for my downloads to continue.

Don't know how adding a button would help you to remember. However in the main trunk "actions" (connect, quit, etc..) have been removed from the toolbar, so I don't think a pause will be added there.

You can pause all your downloads from the download queue already. Just right click the root / object and select set priority paused (and normal to continue the dls). You still need to disconnect all the currently running downloads after setting them to paused state, otherwise the current file will be finished.

I don't think we can add a pause all button with the current interface, but if we redesign the interface as mentioned in bug #406062 then it might be possible. But really your main problem is that LinuxDC++ is using up all your available bandwidth and you can't use other programs. DC++ added bandwidth throttling recently so once they make a stable release this functionality will be available in LinuxDC++.

Razzloss, if I keep LinuxDC++ open all the time, I can see the entry in the taskbar, which reminds me to restart my downloads. If I close LinuxDC++ there is no visual reminder. It's psychological, at least for me :)

Pausing my downloads would work, but then I lose the prioritisation that I've given the items in my queue.

Steven, yes bandwidth throttling is actually what I need.

As a bonus, I'd like to have the bandwidth UNthrottled when my screensaver is activated. Should I punt this idea on the DC++ forums or here?
