How to upload files in linuxdcpp?

Asked by Ronit Samaddar

I would like to know how exactly we can upload files to a given hub we are connected to, in linuxdcpp. I have already connected to a private Hub and in Preferences have specified a separate directory for "Sharing", where I have around 100 GB of data to upload.
I am a beginner in this. Now what do I have to do to upload the files?

Hi! There is no such function with hub program.
You can only install a client program to "upload" files. So you can use a client and a hub programs both on your server machine. Hub will collect information and client will share the files you need.

The idea of direct connect is about no huge central file location. But there are all files, which hub users want to share.

Other languages you can find with google, yandex, bing, baidu... or just search left Wikipedia column

PS I have been inattentive, so wrote slightly wrong. Sharing process takes much time. There is an indicator of share process. After you start sharing process the program will calculate checksumms called hash for all files you need. And then these files will be shown in search results. - Any hub user starts the search, hub resends that search to all connected client programs. Then your client program, if you shared the searched file, sends information to hub. And that user can start the download.

Can you help with this problem?
