ncurses interface for strongdc

Asked by thompaine

I'm remotely logging into a machine with linuxdcpp, and for whatever reason, am unable to get an Xserver setup. Is it possible to use linuxdcpp without gui support? Maybe an ncurses based implementation of it?

What does StrongDC have to do with us?

Linuxdcpp has only Gtk interface, that might change in the future, but I wouldn't hold my breath waiting. There's another ncurses client based on dc++ called nanodc, but don't know how actively that's developed.

Nanodc crash very often & microdc2 don`t support new protocol version & hangup or crash sometime. We need console dc++ client for servers.

microdc2 has some patch for 100% CPU usage, but there's still some minor memory leak:

anyways, it would be very nice to switch X-less servers to linuxdc++
