how to install linuxdcpp in ubuntu ??

i downloaded the linuxdcpp.tar.bz2 .. but i dont know how to install it ??
please help ...

With Linux you rarely need to download some arbitrary packages with a web browser. Just use your package manager to install linuxdcpp (I believe it's "add/remove software" or something similar in gnome menus).

If you want the latest development version add the PPA to your package sources as described in https://launchpad.net/~linuxdcpp-team/+archive/ppa . And then update/install via the same package manager as you would install other Ubuntu packages.
