Linuxdcpp release

Asked by Oschtan

It is soon expected to release linuxdcpp with kernel above 0.7? The previous release was a very long time and currently the number of people interested in the project in connection with the issuance of the draft eiskaltdcpp, having the opportunity to multi-threaded downloading, rapidly declining. All the same release linuxdcpp vital project for at least identify the set of bugs by users. To appear interested in its localization and refinement functions relating to the appearance and the same smileis

What would you prefer: a release now without localization or a release later with localization support? Regardless, I think a major release like 1.1.0 demands localization, but unfortunately I don't have time at the moment to work on it. I'm sure Razzloss is quite busy with real life as well. It'd be nice if the developer of eiskaltdcpp would've at least attempted to contribute to linuxdcpp before branching, but I guess he's free to do whatever. What linuxdcpp needs is more developers, not more clones.

I think that most users linuxdcpp familiar with the English language. Localisation linuxdcpp - would be a wonderful innovation. But I will give the main argument, which so far can not be used in a wide range of users, and that discourages users from linuxdcpp:
! The inability to download a file simultaneously from all available sources for downloading (version kernel 1.0.3.soderzhit 0,691 - this last century)
In this regard, priority should be released in English. In the following appended in the first place will be corrected bugs identified a large audience, and secondly it will be possible as far as possible to add a localization

Well, just to clarify: we have upgraded linuxdcpp to DC++ core 0.75 in our latest trunk. You can download our code and compile it yourself or if you're on Ubuntu you can get binaries from our PPA. Otherwise you'll just have to wait until we release it formally.

Gentoo user and I have no problems with the assembly code, but for most users often access the package from the trunk is nontrivial. In fact remained unanswered question: what keeps on holding the release? Although as a beta release?
