changed my home page and i can't change it back

Asked by Angie Usherwood

I installed Little Registry Cleaner last night. I must say, what a difference it seems to have made! One issue I have though, is it changed my Internet Explorer's home page to Yahoo, and I can't seem to change it back. I go into my settings and remove Yahoo and change it back to what I want, but it never "sticks" - keeps going back to Yahoo. What's the deal??

Hi Angie,

Please check and make sure that you don't have the "Yahoo! Toolbar" installed on your PC using the following steps:

1. Click the Windows Start button.
2. Select Settings, then Control Panel.
3. Double-click on Add/Remove Programs.
4. Scroll down and click on Yahoo! Toolbar.
5. Click on Remove.
6. Close any open IE windows.
7. Restart IE.

If you do not have the "Yahoo! Toolbar" installed then you may have malware that is causing "browser hijacking". I suggest that you read this article (http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_vista-security/how-to-get-rid-of-malware/ba80504b-61f1-4d71-960f-b561798b7b42) to remove the article.

Thanks,
Nick
